JUSTICE SATYAVRAT VERMA ORAL ORDER 01-05-2023 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State along with the learned counsel for the State Election Commission, Mr. Sanjeev Nikesh.

With going into the merits of the case, the writ application is disposed of with a direction to the learned Trial Court to expedite and dispose of the election petition No. 2 of 2022 expeditiously, preferably within a period of nine months if possible.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the

Patna High Court CWJC No.11932 of 2022(2) dt.01-05-2023 2/2 Court of learned Munsif Sikrahna Dhaka presently is vacant and the case is being heard by the learned Incharge Court. The Court expects that since the matter is pending before the learned Incharge Court, the learned Incharge Court shall try to dispose of the case within the period aforesaid if possible in accordance with law.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the election petition, W.S. has been filed by the defendants.

In the meantime, the learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes that within a week, defects will be removed as pointed out by the Stamp Report Office.
