The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Pipra P.S. Case No. 107 of 2024 instituted for the offence under Sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 470, 471 & 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Prosecution case in short is that some miscreants have punched registration number, engine number and chassis number of Bolero vehicle of the informant on any stolen vehicle and after committing cheating, transferred their names on the owner book of the vehicle in question.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.50132 of 2024(2) dt.19-07-2024 2/3 that the petitioner is in custody since 18-04-2024. Petitioner is a man of clean antecedent.

It has been further submitted by the petitioner's counsel that petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case. Petitioner is not named in the FIR. Name of the petitioner has transpired during the course of investigation merely on the basis of suspicion. There is no specific allegation attributed to the petitioner. There is general and omnibus allegation levelled against the petitioner. Specific allegation is against co-accused, Raja Babu. Other co-accused has been granted bail by this Court vide order dated 25-06-2024, passed in Cr. Misc. No. 42804 of 2024.

Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner. 7.
Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, period of custody of the petitioner, claim based on parity and clean antecedent of the petitioner, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Let the petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Court below/concerned Court in connection with Pipra P.S.
