Petitioner has renewed his prayer for bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 20, 21 of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

The prosecution case is that from the possession of the petitioner more than three quintals of ganja were recovered.

Counter affidavit of the Superintendent of Police, Rohtas suggests that six witnesses have been examined. Out of rest three witnesses, two have been retired and one will be produced before the learned court below. It is expected from the Superintendent of Police, Rohtas to make an effort to produce the witnesses and it is

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.17127 of 2014 (6) dt.11-05-2016 expected from the learned trial court to conclude the trial and examine the relevancy of the evidence of the witnesses and pass appropriate orders in the matter.

Considering the commercial quantity of recovery, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the application stands dismissed. The learned court below is directed to conclude the trial within a period of six months.
