The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Excise Case No. 427 of 2021 arising out of Karpi P.S. Case No. 100/2021 instituted for the offences under Section 30(a) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018. There is a recovery of 13.5 litres of liquor and 30 litres of beer.

However, it has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the he does not have criminal antecedents and he is in custody since 01.06.2021.

Regard being had to the period of custody of the petitioner and the nature of accusation, he is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/-

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.56723 of 2021(2) dt.23-05-2022 2/2 (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge -IIcum-Special Judge, Excise, Jehanabad, in connection with Excise Case No. 427 of 2021 arising out of Karpi P.S. Case No. 100/2021 .
