The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Sabour P.S. Case No. 141 of 2021, dated 24.05.2021, instituted for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The accusation against the petitioner is that he along with five persons was carrying liquor totaling about 65 liters.

No.55477 of 2021(2) dt.23-05-2022 2/2 It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that one of the accused persons of this case has been granted anticipatory bail by a Bench of this Court. The petitioner is in custody since 25.05.2021 and he does not have criminal antecedents.

Considering the period of custody of the petitioner and the nature of accusation against him, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail-bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned 2nd Addl. District and Sessions Judge-Cum-Special Judge (Excise Act), Bhagalpur in connection with Sabour P.S. Case No. 141 of 2021.

The application stands allowed.
