The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Siwan Mahila P. S. Case No. 202 of 2015 instituted under Sections 323, 341, 498A and 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. Allegation is that accused persons including the husband and other family members of in-laws house used to make demand of dowry by way of execution of 02 katha land in the name of husband of the informant.

Submission is that petitioner is the brother of the husband of the informant and allegation against him is general and omnibus and the mother-in-law of the informant has been granted anticipatory bail by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court vide order

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.6618 of 2017 (3) dt.22-02-2017 2/2 dated 14.02.2017 in Cr. Misc. No. 4888 of 2017. Having considered the fact that the petitioner is the brother of the husband of the informant and there is general and omnibus allegation against him, so the petitioner namely Meraj Ahmad, in the event of arrest or surrender before the court below within four weeks from today, be released on bail upon furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, Siwan in connection with Siwan Mahila P.S.Case No. 202 of 2015; subject to the conditions laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
