The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 366, 367, 368, 370 and 371 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, it is stated by the informant that the petitioner developed proximity with his wife. Ultimately alluring her, he took away his wife on the false promise of getting her a job. On the informant contacting the petitioner, it is stated that he was threatened that his wife had been sold to a human trafficking gang for the purpose of prostitution.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case. He is

The petitioner is in custody since 1.4.2021 and charge sheet has been submitted in the case. The application for bail is opposed by learned APP for the State who submits that the witnesses in course of investigation have supported the prosecution case against the petitioner. The whereabouts of the wife of the informant is still unknown and she has still not been traced.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the nature of allegation, the material that has transpired in course of investigation and the wife of the informant still not having been traced, the Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail and the application is rejected (Partha Sarthy, J) Prakash/- U
