The petitioners seek bail in connection with Maharajganj P.S. Case No. 158 of 2021, dated 17.06.2021, instituted for the offences under Sections 272 and 273 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.56114 of 2021(2) dt.23-05-2022 2/2 From the possession of the petitioners, 40 litres of liquor is said to have been recovered from the motorcycle which they were riding.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioners that they are in custody since 18.06.2021.

Regard being being had to the period of custody and taking into account that the petitioners do not have criminal antecedents, they are directed to be released on bail on their furnishing bail-bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned 2nd Addl. Sessions Judge-Cum-Special Judge, Excise, Siwan in connection with Maharajganj P.S. Case No. 158 of 2021.

The application stands allowed.
