In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Mansi P.S. Case No. 53 of 2019 registered for offence punishable under sections 307, 386, 504, 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 27 of the Arms Act.

As per the allegation, the accused persons including the petitioner came to the village of the informant and demanded Rs.2,00,000/- as extortion money from him. When he refused then they assaulted mercilessly to Santosh Choudhary and terrorized the people of locality and made indiscriminate firing.

Looking to the facts and circumstances of the case,

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.44411 of 2019(2) dt.19-07-2019 2/2 this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and accordingly his prayer for bail is rejected. However, if the petitioner surrenders before the court below and prays for regular bail, the court below without being prejudiced by this order, will take decision in accordance with law.
