The petitioners seek bail in anticipation of their arrest in connection with Barsoi (Kachna) P.S. Case No. 154 of 2020 dated 14.07.2020 instituted for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 307, 354B, 379, 447 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code. The accusation against the petitioner no. 1 and 2 is of assaulting the victim causing one grievous injury. The other injuries on his person are stated to be simple

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.1816 of 2021(2) dt.14-07-2021 2/2 in nature. So far as petitioners no. 3 and 4 are concerned, the accusation against them is general and omnibus. There is a counter version of the occurrence also. Persons from the side of the petitioners also have been injured in the occurrence. There is an old land dispute between the parties and the present case appears to have been filed because of such land dispute. Regard being had to the aforestated facts and taking into account that the petitioners do not have criminal antecedents, they are directed to be released on bail, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, on their furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs.

10,000/- (Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-I, Katihar in connection with Barsoi (Kachna) P.S. Case No. 154 of 2020, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
