The petitioner is in custody since 18.03.2014 in connection with Motipur P.S. Case No. 73 of 2014 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498A of the Indian Penal Code and 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he being the husband has been living with his wife since past 12 years without any dispute whatsoever. However, the present case has been filed making false and frivolous allegation under Section 498A of the I.P.C as well as 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. It is further submitted that the petitioner has been implicated in the present case due to village politics.
