2. The petitioner is in custody since 06.04.2017 in connection with Sessions Trial No. 611 of 2017 arising out of Dhanarua P.S. Case No. 137 of 2017 for the alleged offences under Sections 147, 148, 149, 302, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

3. It is submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in connection with the murder of the informant's son, upon whom the informant is said to have fired. It is submitted that there is admitted land dispute between the parties which led to filing of false case. It is further submitted that the petitioner has already suffered about two and half years in custody and there is no substantial progress in the trial.

4. Pursuant to the order dated 10.07.2017, it has been reported by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-VI, Patna in his letter dated 24.07.2019 that four out of 10 prosecution witnesses have been examined and the trial is expected to be concluded within six months.

5. Having regard to the nature of accusations and gravity of the offence alleged, this Court is not inclined to grant privilege of bail to the petitioner. The bail petition stands dismissed.

6. Having regard to the status report received by this Court, it is expected that the trial will be concluded expeditiously and in any event within a period of four months from today.
