This application, for grant of anticipatory bail, arises out of Supaul PS case no. 420 of 2023, disclosing offences punishable under Sections 354(D), 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 67 of Information Technology Act. 3.

The prosecution story, as per the First Information Report, is that the marriage of informant's daughter was performed with one Varun Kumar on 23.01.2023. After the marriage, the petitioner along with his father prepared the joint photograph of informant's daughter and the petitioner and made it viral on social media in order to tarnish the character of the informant and his daughter. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that cousin sister of the petitioner is married with the nephew of the informant and there was marriage proposal of informant's daughter with the petitioner, which was rejected by petitioner's father, upon which, the informant has lodged the present F.I.R. on the basis of concocted story. Learned counsel further submits that petitioner is a student and has already passed B.C.A. examination and is preparing for competitive examination. He next submits that the photographs, which have been made part of the F.I.R., is not very objectionable.

Regard being had to the submissions made on behalf of the parties and taking into consideration the fact that both parties are known to each other, petitioner is a student having no criminal antecedent, I am inclined to grant the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6.

This application is, accordingly, allowed.

Let petitioner, abovenamed, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the Court below within six weeks, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Supaul in
