This application for regular bail arises out of Excise Case No. 346 of 2021 (Kaler P.S. Case No. 23 of 2021), disclosing the offence punishable under Sections 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2018.

Perused the report submitted by learned Additional District and Sessions Judge-cum-Special Exclusive Excise Judge No. 2, Jehanabad regarding the present stage of Excise Case No. 346 of 2021, in the light of this Court's order dated 12.10.2022. From the said order, it appears that all the five prosecution's witnesses have been examined. The stage of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.46616 of 2022(4) dt.09-11-2022 2/2 Section 313 of the Cr.P.C. has also crossed and the matter is fixed for argument.

As the trial is on the verge of conclusion, I am not inclined to reconsider the petitioners' prayer for grant of regular bail. This application is accordingly rejected but with the observation that let the trial court take all possible measures to ensure early conclusion of the trial.
