The petitioner is languishing in custody for the offences punishable under Sections 341/323/384/386/ 387 /379 / 504/34 of the Indian Penal Code in connection with Mahua P.S. Case No. 265 of 2019.

There is allegation in the FIR of demand of ransom and commission of assault with Butt of the gun. Specific allegation against the petitioner is that he snatched gold chain of the informant. The petitioner is accused in five other cases of identical nature including a case under the Arms Act. The petitioner is in custody since 26.08.2020. Investigation of the case is already complete.

Considering the nature of allegation and criminal antecedent of the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.1224 of 2021(3) dt.27-04-2021 2/2 petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail is refused. The trial Court is directed to expedite the trial.
