2. The petitioner seeks bail, who is in custody since 14.03.2024, in connection with Rasulpur P.S. Case No. 171 of 2023, FIR dated 26.06.2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 386, 387, 307 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.
3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner and others have demanded ransom from the informant and on nonfulfillment of the same they assaulted him.
4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. He further submits that the allegation as alleged in the FIR is false and fabricated and the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged in the FIR. He further
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.48399 of 2024(3) dt.23-08-2024 2/2 submits that from a bare perusal of the FIR it appears that the informant has not stated the phone number from which the ransom has been demanded by the petitioner.

Learned A.P.P. for the State, on the other hand, on the basis of the material avail on the record in the case diary, has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and submits that in the present occurrence the informant sustained injury. He further submits that the petitioner has confessed his guilt which was recorded in para-269 of the case diary apart from that the petitioner carries thirteen more cases other than the present one.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case as well as the nature of allegation as alleged in the FIR and also the criminal antecedents of the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail in connection with Rasulpur P.S. Case No. 171 of 2023 pending in the Court of Judicial Magistrate, Chapra, Saran.
7. Prayer is refused.
