The petitioner, who is the husband of the victim, seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Kasba P.S. Case No. 74 of 2020 dated 23.06.2020 instituted for the offences under Sections 323, 341, 326, 498-A, 307 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 4/5 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. Regard being had to the fact that an attempt was made to immolate the victim and she has received corresponding injury, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner notwithstanding the submission urged on his behalf that he is ready to negotiate to settle the differences between the spouses.

Should the petitioner surrender before the court below and seek bail, the ground urged before this Court may be taken into consideration and a final order shall be passed without being prejudiced by the fact that the present petition on his behalf has not been entertained.
