The petitioners are languishing in custody for the offences punishable under Sections 272/273/120B of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 30(a)/38/40(i) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016 in connection with Sonepur P.S. Case No. 724 of 2020.

From the house of the petitioners huge quantity of liquor was recovered. The petitioners are accused in seven more cases of identical nature.

Submission is that they are in custody since 08.10.2020 and 12.10.2020 respectively. Investigation of the case is already complete.
