The petitioner seeks regular bail in registered for the offences punishable under section 366A and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, this petitioner along with other accused persons kidnapped minor daughter of the informant and demanded ransom for her safe return. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is no specific allegation against the petitioner rather thrust of allegation is on co-accused Manjeet Kumar with whom the victim was in love affair. It is also submitted by learned counel for the petitioner that presently victim has been married with some other person and is leading happy conjugal life. Petitioner

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.56805 of 2021(3) dt.01-02-2022 2/2 has got clean antecedent as stated in paragraph 3 of the bail petition. Petitioner is in custody since 6.8.2021. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the victim in her statement recorded under section 164 Cr. P. C. has stated that the petitioner with the aid of other accused persons kidnapped the victim and demanded ransom for her safe return.

Considering the nature of accusation against the petitioner, his prayer for bail is refused.
