JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 04-09-2017 Heard the parties.

This application, for grant of anticipatory bail, arises out of Parsa Bazar P.S. Case No. 55 of 2016, disclosing offences under Sections 498(A) and 504/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The petitioner is the husband of the informant. This Court made efforts to reconcile the dispute between the informant and petitioner, through reconciliation in 'in Camera' proceeding, in presence of the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.27224 of 2017 (6) dt.04-09-2017 2/2 parties.

Today when the matter has been taken up, the petitioner has absented himself without any valid reason, despite order of this Court. The informant has complained to this Court further harassment and torture meted out to her by the petitioner.

Conduct of the petitioner disentitles him from grant of privilege of anticipatory bail.

This application is, accordingly, rejected.

The petitioner is directed to surrender before the learned court below within a period of eight weeks from today and seek regular bail, if so advised. If he does so, his application for regular bail shall be considered by the learned court below on its own merit, without being prejudiced by rejection of present application for grant of anticipatory bail.
