Case No. 57 of 2018, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Petitioner happens to be husband of the deceased and there is allegation of causing her death by pressing her neck. Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that she committed suicide and petitioner is in custody since 11.12.2018 and though charge has been framed but there is no substantial progress in the trial as yet.

Heard learned APP and perused the report of learned trial court, from which it appears that charge has been framed in this case and step for production of witnesses has been taken. In view of above facts and circumstances, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, However, since charge has been framed in this case, learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.
