JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 24-08-2022 Though the main grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is regarding non-issuance of arms license, however, it is the case of the petitioner that after the application of the petitioner for grant of arms license was rejected by the District Magistrate, Patna, the petitioner had challenged the same by filing an Appeal bearing Arms Appeal No. 90/2017, whereafter the learned Court of Divisional Commissioner, Patna, by an order dated 11.12.2018/26.12.2018, had remanded the matter back to the District Magistrate, Patna to reconsider the case of the petitioner for issuance of arms

Patna High Court CWJC No.16805 of 2021(2) dt.24-08-2022 2/2 license, however, till date, no final decision has been taken by the District Magistrate, Patna, hence, it is prayed that the District Magistrate, Patna be directed to dispose of the case of the petitioner for grant of arms license within a stipulated time frame.

The learned counsel for the RespondentState submits that the case of the petitioner for grant of arms license, if not already disposed of by the District Magistrate, Patna, shall be disposed of within a stipulated time frame, as directed by this Court.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate, Patna to dispose of the case of the petitioner, pertaining to grant of arms license, if not already disposed of, within a period of twelve weeks of receipt/ production of a copy of this order.
