1. The limited grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is that despite the petitioner having retired from his service on 31.05.2016, while holding the post of SubInspector of Police, Khagaul Police Station, Patna, till date, the charge of Malkhana has not been taken over from him.

2. In view of the aforesaid, I deem it fit and proper to direct the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna, to ensure that the handing over/taking over of the charge of the Malkhana in

Patna High Court CWJC No.16818 of 2021(2) dt.19-04-2024 2/2 question is carried out, within a period of two weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order, in accordance with law and in case there is any impediment, it is expected that the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna shall pass a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within the same time frame.

3. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
