2/4 "1. That this is an application for issuance of an appropriate writ order or direction commanding the respondents to extend the contract of the petitioners further and accommodate them in other places / units/stations/transmission centres/Distribution centers /power holding centres / store grid etc.

under the Bihar State Electricity Board from them and extending their contract further from time to time as the petitioners are ex-service men/ex- paramilitary retired personnels who were after their due appointment following a detailed process of selection were appointed on contract on the post of security officer/security Hawaldar/Security Jamadar and Security Guards in 2011-2012 and thereafter they were continuously working on the said post without any complaint at Barauni Thermal Power Station, Begusarai from where some of them were also sent on deputation to Patna time to time where they also serve and who after serving for about more than 3 years have now been thrown out without any notice or information orally for no fault of theirs on the ground that C.I.S.F.

has now been called to take the work of security in Barouni Thermal Power Station as the same is highly illegal, unfair, unjust, arbitrary malafidy and discriminatory as the petitioners have become over age and they have left other opportunities of appointment like in Bank, Jail, SAP, Disaster Management, etc.

3/4 present in different other installation/units of the Board throughout the State and also as work extension has been granted to those appointed letter than the petitioners of security Guards/Officers in North Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd.

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of the aforesaid grievances.
