The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Excise Case No. 427 of 2021 arising out of Karpi P.S. Case No. 100/2021 instituted for the offences under Section 30(a) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018. There is a recovery of 13.5 litres of liquor and 30 litres of beer.

However, it has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is in custody since 01.06.2021 and in the other case in which the petitioner was earlier made accused, he has been released on bail.

Regard being had to the period of custody of the petitioner and the nature of offence, he is directed to be released

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.57077 of 2021(2) dt.23-05-2022 2/2 on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge -II-cumSpecial Judge, Excise, Jehanabad, in connection with Excise Case No. 427 of 2021 arising out of Karpi P.S. Case No. 100/2021.
