JUSTICE ANJANI KUMAR SHARAN ORAL ORDER 26-07-2021 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for the State through virtual court proceedings. The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 498A/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. He submits that the alleged date of marriage is 06.10.2019, whereas the instant case has been lodged after long delay without assigning any plausible and cogent reason for the same. The allegation levelled against the petitioner is not specific rather general and omnibus in nature. He submits that according to the case diary, father of the informant and other witnesses have not supported the prosecution case.
