====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ANJANI KUMAR SHARAN ORAL ORDER 24-05-2021 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.

The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of the POCSO Act.

In pursuance to the order dated 23.03.2021, status report of trial in connection with Jehanabad Mahila P.S. Case No. 46 of 2019 has been received and kept at Flag-A, in which it is stated that mother of the victim and medical officer have been examined. It is further stated that I.O. and some of the independent witnesses are yet to be examined and if the prosecution brings the witnesses in time and both parties cooperate, the case is likely to be disposed off within three months.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.591 of 2021(4) dt.24-05-2021 2/2 Considering the present stage of trial, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his payer for bail is rejected in connection with Jehanabad Mahila P.S. Case No. 46 of 2019 pending before the court of the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Jehanabad.

Accordingly, the application is dismissed. However, Trial Court is directed to conclude the trial within six months. (Anjani Kumar Sharan, J) devendra/- U T
