The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Tetarhat P.S. Case No. 84 of 2021 pending in the Court of learned Additional District & Sessions Judge-IIcum-Special Judge (Excise) Lakhisarai in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2018.

It is a case of recovery of about 785 liters of English wine from a pick-up van bearing registration no.BR06GE-1028, which belongs to the petitioner.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case. He further submits that the petitioner has got clean antecedent.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.57973 of 2021(2) dt.25-04-2022 2/2 Learned APP appearing for the State has opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail.

In view of the fact that the said English wine was recovered from the vehicle of the petitioner, as such, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
