JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 08-10-2021 The instant case has been taken up for consideration through the mode of Video conferencing in view of the prevailing situation on account of COVID 19 Pandemic, requiring social distancing.

Though the present writ petition has been filed for directing the respondent authorities to revise the bill in question, wave the interest for the period of 2016 to 2019 and restore the electricity connection of the petitioner, however being confronted with the issue of maintainability of the present writ petition, in view of availability of an alternative and efficacious remedy by way of approaching the concerned Consumer Grievance Redressal

Patna High Court CWJC No.16868 of 2021(2) dt.08-10-2021 2/2 Forum, the learned counsel for the petitioner Sri Pandey seeks and is granted liberty to file appropriate petition before the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum for redressal of the grievances of the petitioner herein.

The learned Senior counsel for the respondents Sri Vinay Kirti Singh assisted by Sri Vijay Kumar Verma, Advocate has got no objection in case the petitioner approaches the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum .

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum, Patna for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. It is needless to state that if an appropriate complaint is filed within a period of four weeks from today, the same shall be adjudicated and disposed off by the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum, Patna within a period of eight weeks, thereafter. The issue regarding grant of interim relief i.e. restoration of electric connection shall also be addressed by the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum, Patna, in case the petitioner makes appropriate prayer for grant of interim relief, before the learned Forum.
