The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "That this writ of mandamus is being filed for a direction upon the respondent authorities for ACP promotion which has not been given to the petitioner for which he is entitled to."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the respondent-authorities for redressal of his subsisting grievance, if any. Liberty so sought is granted.
