2. The present writ petition has been filed for the following relief/s:- "I. To issue writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to make payment of monetary benefits of 7th Pay revision with effect from 24.05.2017.

II. To direct the respondents to pay the revised of 7th Pay revision w.e.f. 24.05.2017 in the nature of mandamus.

III. To direct the respondents to make the payment of penal interest @ 18% p.a with respect to the abovementioned dues whichever

Patna High Court CWJC No.11800 of 2025(2) dt.05-08-2025 2/3 is applicable in the case of petitioner on account of delay and latches on the part of the respondents.

IV. To grant any other relief/reliefs for which the petitioner is entitled in the facts and circumstances of the case."

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a retired employee of the District Rural Development Agency, Buxar, and has filed the present writ petition seeking consideration of his monetary benefits under the 7th Pay Revision, with effect from 24.05.2017, along with penal interest. Counsel further submits that the petitioner has filed representation before the D.D.C., Buxar twice dated 12.07.2022 & 20.12.2024 (annexed as Annexure P/1 and P/2 of the writ petition), but, no decision has been taken till date.

4. Learned counsel for the State submits that since, the petitioner's representation is still pending, therefore, a direction may be given for disposal of his representation.

5. In light of the submissions made, it is hereby directed to the Deputy Development Commissioner-cumManaging Director, D.R.D.A., Buxar (Respondent no.3) to pass a reasoned and speaking order on the representation of the petitioner (annexed as Annexure P/1 and P/2 of the writ petition)

Patna High Court CWJC No.11800 of 2025(2) dt.05-08-2025 3/3 within 90 days from the date of production/receipt of this order. It is made clear that, if the petitioner is found entitled to the monetary benefits, then the process for granting such benefits shall be initiated and completed within 90 days.

6. Accordingly, with the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed off.
