By filing the instant writ petition under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has prayed for quashing of the F.I.R. of Phulparas P.S.Case No. 86 of 2013 registered for the offences punishable under sections 364 and 498A read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The allegations made in the F.I.R. do constitute a cognizable offence.
