JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 24-05-2022 Heard learned Advocate for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the State. The petitioner, who is the driver of the vehicle from where 785 liters of liquor is said to have been recovered, seeks bail in connection with Tetarhat P.S. Case No. 84 of 2021 dated 11.08.2021 instituted for the offences under Sections 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2018.

It has been urged on behalf of the petitioner that he was made to drive the vehicle at the instance of his employer but had no idea that the consignment which was loaded on the vehicle was liquor. Apart from this, it has been submitted that the petitioner does not have criminal antecedents. The petitioner is in custody since 11.08.2021. Considering the aforenoted facts, the petitioner is
