Petitioner, who is husband of the deceased, in custody since 18.2.2019 in a case registered for the offence under section 304B of the Indian Penal Code on the allegation that the petitioner and his family members were regularly subjecting the victim to cruelty for non-fulfilment of dowry demand and finally she was strangulated to death by plastic rope. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the allegation is false against the petitioner and in fact there was no demand of dowry and the victim died of illness and weak health. It appears that the marriage had taken place one year before the incident and there is allegation of dowry demand and murder of his wife, as such, prayer for bail is rejected.
