Indisputably, the death certificate (Annexure-1) of the father of the petitioner was issued on 20.01.2012 by the Panchayat Secretary of the Gram Panchayat stating that such death had occurred on 15.06.1997. The petitioner being son of the deceased has filed the writ application for correction in the date of death in the certificate from 15.07.1997 to 25.07.1983. Unquestionably, the certificate was issued by the Panchayat Secretary. If the petitioner has any grievance relating thereto, he should approach the same authority for effecting the correction

Patna High Court CWJC No.23213 of 2013 (2) dt.05-07-2016 in the death certificate of his father.

The writ application stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the office bearers of the Gram Panchayat in question which includes the Mukhiya as well as the Panchayat Secretary.
