The grievance of the petitioner is that after the death of his father on 28.11.2007, who was holding licence and possessing DBBL Gun, the same was deposited before the Arms Dealer, namely, Drown Arms and Ammunition Store, Saraiyaganj, Muzaffarpur on 30.11.2007. Thereafter, the petitioner applied for grant of arms licence, however, when nothing was done then the petitioner claims to have been moved before the appellate authority which has remanded the matter to the District Magistrate, Muzaffarpur for taking lawful decision in the matter vide Annexure-1 dated 8.06.2010, even then, no decision has been

Though this writ application has been filed in the year 2013 but no counter affidavit has been filed by the respondents as yet.

Accordingly, this writ application is being disposed of with a direction to the licensing authority to take a decision in accordance with law upon the application of the petitioner within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, if the same has already not been taken.
