The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Bhagwan Bazar P.S. Case No. 486 of 2017 dated 25.11.2017 instituted for the offences under Sections 396 and 397 of the Indian Penal Code. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the only basis for prosecuting the petitioner in the present case is the confession of a co-accused in which he has been named.

The manner in which the occurrence is said to have been committed and the tainted background of the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.57314 of 2018(3) dt.11-12-2018 2/2 petitioner, which finds mention in paragraph no. 3 of the petition, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to him. The prayer is rejected.

The petition is dismissed, accordingly.
