JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 07-02-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1. (A) A writ in the nature of Certiorari or any other appropriate writ/s, order/s direction/s quashing the following:

(i) The Final Merit List and Waiting List dated 06.06.2019 prepared by the Respondent Authorities of Accountantcum-IT Assistant of Nalanda District, Bihar.

(B) A writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ/s, order/s direction/s for the following reliefs:

Patna High Court CWJC No.16899 of 2021(2) dt.07-02-2024 2/3 (i) To direct the Respondent Authorities concerned to appoint the petitioner on the post of Accountant-cum-IT Assistant in Nalanda-District under Scheduled Caste category on contractual basis.

(ii) To direct the Respondent Authorities to revise the final merit and waiting list of Accountant-cum-IT Assistant in connection with Nalanda District.

(iii) To direct the Respondent Authorities to remove the illegal appointment, if any, done in place of the petitioner in Nalanda- District.

(iv) To direct the Respondent Authorities to bring on record the details of the candidates who had selected and joined against the post of Accountant-cum-IT Assistant in Nalanda-District.

(v) To direct the Respondent Authorities to bring on record the details of the employees who has resigned or terminated from the post of Accountant-cum-IT Assistant in Nalanda District.

At the outset, the learned counsel for the respondent-State has submitted that not only the selection process is over but the waiting list has also been exhausted, hence the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous with the efflux of time.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that if that be the case, the present writ petition be disposed off, however, with liberty to the petitioner to participate in fresh selection process, if any, to be undertaken in the near future. Liberty, so sought, is granted. 4.

The writ petition stands disposed off as not pressed.
