Apprehending his arrest in Jokihat P.S.Case No. 165 of 2015, the petitioner has prayed for grant of anticipatory bail. It is stated that the FIR was lodged in June, 2015 against unknown. There is no evidence directly incriminating the petitioner in the crime.

Learned counsel for the State, on the other hand, submits that only few days after the occurrence one co-accused was arrested with the vehicle used in the crime who in his disclosure statement named the petitioner. He also points out that the petitioner has few criminal cases to his credit. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the prayer for anticipatory bail made on behalf of the petitioner is rejected.
