KUMAR ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 28-08-2019 Petitioner has filed this contempt application for initiation of contempt proceeding against the contemnor/opposite parties for deliberate and willful violation of order dated 13.12.2001 passed in C.W.J.C. No. 14586 of 2001 by which opposite parties were directed to make payment of retiral benefits to the petitioner within eight weeks with an interest @ 6% per annum.

It has been submitted on behalf of opposite parties that principal amount has already been paid to the petitioner

Patna High Court MJC No.1023 of 2016 dt.28-08-2019 2/2 which has been admitted by the counsel for the petitioner and only interest over the principal amount is due for which they have stated that they will be paying said amount of interest in 12 installments which is acceptable to the counsel for the petitioner. In view of the statement made by opposite parties and same being accepted by the petitioner, the contempt petition is disposed of with a direction that the amount accrued as interest on the principal amount to the tune of Rs. 3 lacs will be paid to petitioner within one year in 12 equal installments. The contempt petition is disposed of.
