The claim of the petitioner for promotion from 4th grade to 3rd grade staff has been rejected by the respondent on the ground that the petitioner is serial no.6 whereas only four post is available for grant of promotion from grade 4th to grade 3rd.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondents have not assigned reason why the petitioner has been placed at Serial No.6.

Patna High Court CWJC No.14284 of 2019(2) dt.18-07-2019 2/2 Considering the limited prayer made by the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to assign the reason for placement of the petitioner at Serial No. 6 in the matter of consideration for grant of promotion from from class-IV to class-III. The reason in this regard must be assigned to the petitioner within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order. With the aforesaid, the present writ application stands disposed of.
