1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the daughter of the petitioner was married to one Shravan Kumar on 08.05.2019 and due to non fulfillment of demand of dowry the petitioner's daughter has been killed in her matrimonial home by Shravan Kumar and his family members.
2. According to the petitioner she approached the Gaurichak Police Station Patna but the S.H.O., Gaurichak P.S., Patna did not accept the written report / first information report of the petitioner, for which, the petitioner lodged a complaint
Patna High Court CR. WJC No.266 of 2021(4) dt.03-08-2023 2/2 before D.G.P., Bihar vide her representation dated 28-09-2020.
3. The contention of the petitioner is that Police authorities are not registering F.I.R. regarding dowry death of the daughter of the petitioner in her matrimonial home.
4. Learned counsel for the State submits that after filing of the writ application the S.S.P, Patna enquired from the concerned S.H.O., but the S.H.O., Gaurichak P.S. has informed that no such written report was brought before him by the petitioner at any point of time.
5. In view of the submission made by both the parties, the present writ application is disposed with a direction to the petitioner to submit a written report before the S.H.O., Gaurichak P.S. within two weeks from today, and if such a written report is submitted to the S.H.O., Gaurichak Police Station, Patna (respondent no. 7), the S.H.O., Gaurichak P.S., Patna is directed to take necessary steps for lodging FIR in accordance with law.
