Petitioner has prayed for following relief:- "For the issuance of appropriate writ/writs, order/orders, for setting aside the order dated 24.08.2017 contained in memo no. 2391 dated 25.08.2017 (Annexure-2), passed by the S.D.O. Gogri, Khagaria whereby the P.D.S. license no. 38-B/2007 in the name of the petitioner has been cancelled illegally."

Petitioner has filed this writ petition against the order dated 24.08.2017 passed by S.D.O.-cum- licensing authority, Gogri, Khagaria by which, the PDS license of petitioner has been cancelled. Petitioner has not availed the statutory remedy

Patna High Court CWJC No.2985 of 2021 dt.20-12-2021 2/2 provided under the Control Order and has approached this Court after more than three years from the date of order of cancellation of his PDS licence.

Petitioner has approached this Court after inordinate delay for which, no sufficient reasons has been furnished, as such, present writ petition is dismissed on the ground of delay and laches.
