Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned A.P.P. for the State.

This is an application for grant of anticipatory bail in connection with Katihar Town PS case no. 95 of 2023, registered for the offences punishable under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code.

After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to surrender before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Katihar, within a period of four weeks from today and avail the privilege of regular bail, nonetheless, seeks a direction upon the learned trial court to consider and dispose off the regular bail petition, to be filed by the petitioner, in accordance with law, on the very same day.
