JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 23-11-2022 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. Prayer for bail of this petitioner was earlier rejected by this court vide order dated 29.01.2021 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 28379 of 2020.

The trial court report reveals that out of nine chargesheeted witnesses five witness, including the informant, have already been examined and the case is fixed for prosecution evidence.

Considering the nature of accusation, gravity of the offence and progress of the trial, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected. However, since the petitioner is in custody since 23.08.2019, the trial court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably, within one year from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order.
