Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner informs this Court that all the retiral dues have been paid to the petitioner, as claimed for in the present writ petition, however, the interest has not been paid to him. He further submits that the petitioner was entitled to receive the retiral benefits including pension w.e.f. 31.01.2015.

At this stage, Mr. Ranjeet Kumar Pandey, learned counsel for the State informs this Court that the petitioner retired in the year, 2015 as admitted by the petitioner in the present writ petition, however, he had served the Corporation up to the year, 2017 and the entire amount has been paid to him. There is no dues pending to be paid to the petitioner.

3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner further submits that the petitioner seeks to file a detail representation before the concerned respondent to make payment of the interest on account of delay in payment of the retiral benefits to him, in accordance with law.

Considering the aforesaid grievance of the petitioner, the concerned respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner and ensure to make payment of interest from the date the petitioner is entitled, in accordance with law laid down by the Hon'ble Apex Court in the case of State of Kerala V. M.Padmanabhan Nair reported in (1985) 1 SCC 429 and D.D.Tewari V. Uttar Haryana Bijli reported in (2014) 8 SCC 894.

5. With the above observation/direction, the present writ petition is disposed of.
