The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Kurhani P.S. Case No.291 of 2013 registered under Sections 384 and 386 of the Indian Penal Code.
Prayer for anticipatory bail was earlier rejected by this Court vide order dated 13.03.2015 passed in Criminal Miscellaneous No.34972 of 2014.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the name of the petitioner figured in the case on confessional statement of Pappu Kumar. It appears that Pappu Kumar demanded extortion through his Mobile No.8406807013. He confessed his guilt and disclosed involvement of the petitioner. The petitioner along with Pappu Kumar demanded extortion from
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.40507 of 2017 (4) dt.08-11-2017 the Block Development Officer.
It appears that the petitioner did not surrender in the Court for more than two years even after rejection of anticipatory bail on 13.03.2015 and filed this anticipatory bail application on 22.08.2017.
Considering the facts aforesaid and nature of allegation, I do not find any new ground for grant of anticipatory bail of the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail is once again rejected.
