The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Kochas P.S. Case No. 79/2021, G.R. No. 553/2021 instituted for the offences under Sections 420 and 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2018.

Approximately 8,000 litres of liquor is said to have been recovered from a vehicle, the driver of which vehicle confessed the name of the petitioner as one of the persons involved in delivery of such consignment.

The petitioner does not have criminal antecedents. Two other accused persons of this case have been granted bail by a Bench of this Court.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.57221 of 2021(2) dt.23-05-2022 2/2 Regard being had to the period of custody of the petitioner which is from 11.06.2021 and taking into account that he does not have criminal antecedents, he is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge -IIcum-Special Judge, Excise, Rohtas at Sasaram, in connection with Kochas P.S.
