The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Excise Case No. 691 of 2018, arising out of Arwal P.S. Case No. 192 of 2018, registered under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Excise Prohibition Act.

The accusation is that in course of checking, the informant being the Police official of Arwal Police Station, stopped one Swift Dzire vehicle without number plate in which two persons were found sitting. On search, two bottle beer, each containing 500 ML and one bottle India made foreign liquor of 750 ML recovered. The persons sitting in the vehicle did not give any satisfactory reply regarding the liquor, but they disclosed that the seized beer and liquor was brought from

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.65001 of 2018(4) dt.31-01-2019 2/2 Jharkhand for personal consumption. They also disclosed the name of the petitioner as owner of the vehicle. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the vehicle was taken by Somnath Kumar for personal use and the petitioner had no knowledge about keeping of liquor in the vehicle. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, let the above named petitioner, be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks from today, on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Addl. Sessions Judge-II, Jehanabad in connection with Excise Case No. 691 of 2018, arising out of Arwal P.S. Case No. 192 of 2018, subject to the condition as laid down under Section 438 (2) of the Cr.P.C.
