JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 18-08-2018 After the order dated 04.07.2018, the University has filed Additional Counter Affidavit wherein in para 3 to 5 the following stands have been taken, which are quoted herein below:

That it is humbly stated that the petitioner has filed the instant writ petition for issuance of appropriate order / writ directing the respondents to pay the petitioner his entire difference of arrears of salary from July 1983 to December 1995 and January 1996 to July 2000 according to the new scale of UGC effective from which in total comes to Rs.348,884.09/- with compound interest @ 18% per annum and also to pay other admissible

4. That it is humbly stated that on perusal of records, it seems that the entire difference of arrear of salary of the petitioner from July 1983 to July 2000 comes to Rs.630,924/-, out of which Rs.2,82,040/- has been paid to the petitioner periodically.

5. That it is further stated that a demand draft bearing no. 598920 dated 16.07.2018 for an amount of Rs.331,454 has been issued in favour of the petitioner against the outstanding amount of Rs.348,884/-.

Considering the aforesaid, the writ application stands disposed of. In the event, the petitioner is aggrieved by error in calculation in the entitlement and if any subsisting grievance is unredressed, liberty shall be available to the petitioner to file representation along with a copy of this order before the ViceChancellor of the University, who is required to dispose of the representation of the petitioner by a reasoned and speaking order within a period of three months from the date of filing of such representation.
